Allotments Brief: Vacant plots on Sinnott Road Allotments

Following a recent plot clearance exercise, the serving of formal notices and plot holders relinquishing their allotment plots, we  currently have 16 vacant plots that have become available at one of our Council managed sites in the Higham Hill ward – Sinnott Road Allotments, Gurney Close, E17.

Sinnott Road is a high amenity allotment site, which means that it has two community buildings to store equipment in and lockers, grass cutting services, toilets and water tanks.

As these plots have recently been cleared and dug over, this means that the vacant allotments are in pristine condition and ready to be taken on by new and experienced growers alike with full support available from the Allotment Team and the friendly community of plot holders on site.

We are also bringing 22 vacant plots back into prime condition at our Higham Hill Common Allotment, Green Pond Road, E17 (not to be confused with Trencherfield Allotments, Higham Hill Road, E17 which is a private, non-Council managed site.)

These vacant plots will be advertised and promoted on the Council website and through various Council partners and community groups. However, if you are interested in obtaining any of these allotments or are aware of any friends, individuals, family members, community groups ororganisations such as schools who may be interested in obtaining a plot, please ask them to contact the Allotment Office at allotments@walthamforest.gov.uk or call 0208 496 3000 and they will be happy to arrange for you to visit the site and view the plots on this picturesque site.

Please note that we are only offering the specific plots highlighted below and that the plots are only available to Waltham Forest residents.
