Walthamstow Welcomes Refugees

Walthamstow Says Welcome: Helping the Refugee Community Kitchen- Where and What to Donate in Walthamstow 
Along with Side by Side, another refugee charity we have been working with in Walthamstow is the Refugee Community Kitchen. They are seeking donations to enable them to continue to provide approximately 2000 refugees with hot food every day. The RCK have asked for the following items:
  • Almonds, cashews, dried fruit
  • Ring pull tins tuna, chick peas, kidney beans, coconut milk, tomatoes
  • aprons and tea towels (can be pre-loved) 
  • Honey and olive oil (plastic containers)
  • Tea, coffee, uht milk, powdered milk
Donations can be dropped off at any of the Walthamstow locations below:
  • Joy Elaine Watkins, Kukoolala Cafe, The Cottage, Marsh Lane
  • Bob, Second Nature, Wood St (8am - 5pm, Mon - Sat (he is closed 29-30th August)
  • The Italian Deli, Hoe Street Tues - Sat 11am - 8pm & Sun 11am - 4pm.  
  • The Stow Brothers,  Hoe Street
  • Hornbeam CafĂ©, Hoe Street
