Private view of Water and Life, the story of Walthamstow Wetlands
Friday 27 May 6-8pm
Vestry House Museum
All welcome at the launch of a new exhibition: Water and Life, the story of Walthamstow Wetlands. In 2017 the reservoirs will reopen as London’s largest wetlands nature reserve. The site has a long, varied history as a place where prehistoric mammoths once roamed, early industries made their home, and a place that played a crucial role in the incredible growth of Victorian London. Be the first to find out more about the site’s past and present.
An exhibition by Walthamstow Wetlands and Vestry House Museum, created with support from the London Wildlife Trust, Thames Water and the London Borough of Waltham Forest. Walthamstow Wetlands is supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund.
