London Tree Week

Afternoon all

‘London Tree Week’ is a week-long celebration of London's leafiness. It provides an opportunity to celebrate, promote and explore the city’s trees and woodlands. We want Londoners to love, appreciate, understand, sit under, look at, decorate, water, prune, enjoy, smell, and (if necessary) hug the capital’s trees!  London Tree Week will run from Saturday 24 - Saturday 31st May.

If you have any tree based events or activities planned during this time, we would love to know so that we can promote them. Events planned so far include tree walks and talks, tree tagging, the launch of a mobile application and an exhibition at City Hall to name a few. If you do have any events planned, feel free to use the London Tree Week design materials. You will find:
1)      Borough specific posters i.e. Southwark, Ealing etc
2)      London Tree Week logo in eps and jpeg in both colour and black/white
3)      Tree tags – both front and back
4)      Style guidelines

These materials have been designed for you, for your partners, for your borough contacts, community groups and individuals to utilise, so please do send the link on. The files are suitable for mac and windows. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/t4fycxz00ef61uh/MoywWpjQYu/LONDON%20TREE%20WEEK.zip

I am aiming to update the London.gov website early next week with the events list. You will see that we are going to be using the #LondonTreeWeek for twitter to share stories, events and all things tree related.

If you have any questions in regards to this, just give me a call.

I look forward to working with you all to promote leafy London this May!

With many thanks.
