Bikeworks in the QE Park

Bikeworks receives funding to set up an inclusive All Ability Cycling Club at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park

Two wheels-loving Londoners, this spring you are in for a treat! Our member organisation Bikeworks was happy to bring word of a new All Ability Cycling Club they are going to set up thanks to the funding they have received recently.
Bikeworks_BannerBased at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, the gatherings will take place on a fortnightly basis and will be open to people ofall ages and backgrounds. This includes the physically and intellectually impaired and individuals with health issues, as well as the parents, siblings, friends or social workers who take care of them. The aim, according to Bikeworks, is to introduce them to the wonders of bike riding and help boost their self-confidence and well-being.
Does it all sound promising? Then you will be glad to hear that, the project still being at an early phase, your opinion could be decisive as Bikeworks is asking for feedback on thebest dates to run the fortnightly Club. Of the following weekdays, these three are being considered:
  • Monday
  • Tuesday
  • Thursday
Those individuals and organisations interested in participating should drop a message with their preferred day to Jolyon at Jolyon.whaymand@bikeworks.org.uk or ring him at 0208 980 7998.
Happy riding!
