What we're doing at the Walthamstow Garden Party, 26 & 27 July

Chill out with us at the Garden Party

We’ve designed a little oasis of calm at the Walthamstow Garden Party to offer you respite from the crowds. If you’ve enjoyed the laid-back jazz vibe at our park picnics in previous years, then Saturday’s Soul Picnic is for you. We’ll have a groovy hexagonal dance tent with DJs, zumba and lindy hop dancing (more relaxing to watch than to do!) and Yum Yum Thai will be back with their tasty Thai food and creative cocktails.

On Sunday we’re partnering with BeBop Baby, playing groovy tunes for all the family, including a special rainbow room for babies. There will be indoor and outdoor dance floors and even tables to dance on! Plus loads of space for chilled picnicking on both Saturday and Sunday so you can eat all the goodies you’ve bought at the Real Food Festival in the park.

Visit the Friends’ tent on both days to buy your vintage park postcards (we’re reprinting six of our favorite designs from the early 1900s), and we’ll be selling Create London’s ‘Dogs of Waltham Forest’ tea towels too.

You’ll also be able to renew your membership so if you’ve not quite got round to it yet, next weekend is the time to do so. After the Garden Party we’ll be taking all non-members off our email list so please renew to keep getting our park news and special members-only offers.

We look forward to seeing you all at the Garden Party!
