Proposed Submission North London Waste Plan
Regulation 19, The Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2012
I am writing to invite representations on the proposed submission North London Waste Plan (NLWP). The NLWP is being prepared by the London Boroughs of Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Hackney, Haringey, Islington and Waltham Forest. The proposed submission NLWP is being published for a six week period from 1 March to 12 April 2019. Representations on the proposed submission NLWP should be received by 12 April 2019.
The proposed submission NLWP is accompanied by a number of background documents. All of the documents can all be found on the NLWP website www.nlwp.net. Paper copies of the documents can be inspected in the main planning offices and libraries of the boroughs. Details are given in the Statement of Representations.
Please submit representations electronically using one of these methods:

- Sending your representation in an email to feedback@nlwp.net
Alternatively, you can post your representation to North London Waste Plan , Planning and Regeneration, Camden Town Hall, Judd Street WC1H 9JE
Representations should address a particular part of the NLWP, consider whether it is sound (that is, whether it has been positively prepared, is justified, effective, and consistent with national policy), and legally compliant, and suggest any changes required to make it sound.
The boroughs consulted on a draft NLWP in 2015 and the proposed submission NLWP takes into account the comments received then. Following the period of representation, the boroughs will submit the NLWP to the Secretary of State, together with the representations received, and there will be a public examination of the plan.

Following acclaimed outings in Africa, Europe and across Britain, Africa Express: The Circus will see musical legends, emerging new artists, vocalists, DJs and producers from Africa, the West and Waltham Forest come together on 29th March for a celebratory cross-cultural collaboration in Leytonstone, where Africa Express co-founder Damon Albarn grew up, as part of London Borough of Culture 2019.
A big top circus tent will be erected on Wanstead Flats, the southernmost part of Epping Forest in Leytonstone, with rehearsals for the event taking place in nearby Leytonstone where participating artists including Batida, Damon Albarn, Django Django, Ellie Rowsell (Wolf Alice), Gruff Rhys, Imarhan, Joan As Police Woman, Mista Silva, Moonchild Sanelly, Morena Leraba, Muzi , Onipa, Rokia Traoré, Sibot and The Good, The Bad & The Queen will unite for a process of discovery, collaboration and music-making, culminating in a joyous, one-off live performance in the heart of Waltham Forest.
Waltham Forest will be working to ensure that local residents are able to access this highlight of the year-long London Borough of Culture programme, with targeted and priority ticketing plans.
Sadiq Khan, Mayor of London, said: “Despite London’s position as an international culture capital, too many young Londoners do not have access to our city’s exceptional cultural institutions and feel unable to get involved. London Borough of Culture is a real gamechanger – it puts culture at the heart of local communities and ensures young Londoners can access the transformative power of art and music. Africa Express: The Circus will be a spectacular show, bringing together artists from across the world in Waltham Forest.”
