Plants for Health

Plants for health (and food and drink)

Kitchen remedies from elderflower champagne to nettle tortilla

10 mornings at the Forest Garden

Our annual springtime medical herbalism course is back, with local practitioner Melissa Ronaldson stepping ashore from her Herbal Barge. This is about much more than what to take when you're poorly - there's foraging, fun and food and drink. You'll find the plants you need in the forest garden and nearby on Hackney marshes and Wick Wood, and dry, prepare and sample them.

You should come away with confidence to experiment with medicine-making at home.

Wednesday mornings for 10 weeks from 8th May. There will be optional afternoon herb-growing and medicine making sessions where you can extend and reinforce what you've learned.
